Private Michigan Residence

The hallmark and organizing element of this 5500 sq ft residence is a dramatic, curved masonry wall. Two stories of burnished concrete block create a boundary from the street and contrast dramatically with the large expanses of glass overlooking the private lake side of the home. Small geometric punctures within the masonry wall provide framed views from both levels. Two main building masses, containing private and public rooms, are separated by an open stair.
